The Chinese Silver Panda was first struck in 1983, but it was not until 1988 that the Silver Pandas came in standard sizes. These coins have been heavily conterfeited and the conterfeit coins are generally lighter than mint issued coins (weighing between 25g - 27g). The counterfeit coins also do not generally carry the 10 Yuan denomination on the coin. The coins now come in 30 coins to a tray.
